Finally someone calling out jimmy for not trying in the regular season. Hes a great playmaker and teammate but he falls into that role too often, and expects his body to just turn it on in the playoffs because hes done it before. If he took more shots per game, the heat wouldn’t be an 8 seed.

Last season was a hard watch and you touched on it a little. The starting 5 never played together. Every other game someone was out and so the roles were constantly different. Sometimes Herro was your only option or Bam or Jimmy, we never got to see defined roles or consistency. Praying for health this season so I can at least see why the Heat traded for scary Terry

As someone who watched the Heat be profoundly disappointing/overly injured for 70+ games last year I think you hit the nail on the head with this vid. It was really weird how good I felt about some really young dudes getting minutes. Whenever Jovic and JJJ were on the floor and Jovic got hot from 3 or Jaime was getting to the rim the team looked so good because the defense has been there all year even from guys like Duncan and K Love who you don't think off as great defenders. But Bam really took the defense to another level this year and his relatively low injury frequency kept the team together through some real strange starting 5's. But for some reason even with a rare game with both Jimmy and Tyler or Terry on the floor I found myself still itching for Jovic or Jaquez to get hot even though there is like 70 mil on the floor who's job it is to get it done offensively.

As a Heat fan they absolutely have to take the regular season seriously and barring any injuries they have the potential to be a good regular season record. They’ve shown the ability to do it when they got the 1 seed in 2022 so they can easily be a top 4 seed this year if they can get a locked in Jimmy and solid play from everyone else on the roster. The only difference between this year and that is that we’re missing Lowry and an fading PJ Tucker and I think Rozier can take that Lowry role and Jaime can atleast be a + defender and a guy that defenders need to guard from the 3. They got the potential to be good it’s just a matter of if they really wanna lock in.

As a Heat fan this is getting exhausting, it does feel like we’ve missed our window but I don’t want to give up on this Jimmy era. In my opinion this his the last straw if he wants to stay in Miami he will play 100% this season and if he can’t do that for us then it’s time to move on and build around Bam.
