How to create What3Words

Create & Share Any Location with anyone with an accuracy of 3 square meters (32 square foot). For example, you could meet someone in the places without a postcode or zip codes such as in the middle of a park, river side, hiking trail, etc. Watch this quick tutorial to learn how!

There is also an app for using What3Words, but using a web browser on your phone, tablet, computer, Mac should be good enough.

Select the search bar and find your address on What3Words, make sure the country and the city is correct as there are many same street names all over the world. Then, select your address. This will then automatically will create the 3 words for you. You could then select the satellite view to make sure it's correct or drag and drop the person's icon to the street to the get street view when available.

You could also click anywhere on the map on the grid to select a point. This will then create the 3 words for the coordination. To share the location, you can click on the share button and then copy the link or copy the three words. If you share the link to your friend, then your friend would be able to simply click on the link to get the exact same location.

This technology is promising for the drone delivery system. In the future, you could get your parcel using the drone to locations that don't have a postcode or zip code or simply you want to delivery an item to your back garden.
