The galaxy S 23 series is actually pretty impressive.

I love this phone. Hopes and expectations were a little low coming from the s22 ultra down to the s23 plus, however I'm definitely impressed and satisfied. Not sure what they did, but it does feel more premium and seems to have a smoother feel to it over last year's s22 plus. The performance is very smooth and fast, and the battery life is outstanding (unplugged it earlier this morning a few hours ago and still on 93%) I don't notice much of a difference in the screen resolution. If you turn on bold font in settings, it helps make everything look much more crisp. I'm also liking the sides, as it feels almost completely flat. I'm definitely liking the slightly smaller and lighter feel over the ultra model. Not to mention, loving the new camera layout with almost no bump! The speakers are also great!
My hopes is for a smaller and lighter ultra model with the higher resolution and s pen. Picked it up unlocked for only $300 with instant credit from trading in my z fold 4 to samsung, and may consider trading my s22 ultra for the s23 ultra soon as a secondary device, but I'll probably be using the s23 plus as my primary.
They definitely did a great refinement with these devices. Not sure how samsung does it, but even with "minor" upgrades on paper, they know how to give it the right touch to make it feel better and worth it.

I plan on getting this phone in August if I do well in my exams. Wish me luck.

Edit: I managed to get amazing grades and so I was able to get the S23+. This phone is amazing, it has everything I've ever wanted from a smartphone.

the base s23 and s23 plus in graphite are the best looking phones I've ever seen. so symmetrical and satifsying to look at with the flat screen, symmetrical bezels, matte back and sides and no camera bump. perfect

I had the 23Ultra for a bit but it was bulky for my and i barely used the S pen and didnt find much of a difference with camera quality, so i moved back to the S23+ and im really happy with it, its everything i need and i do prefer the flat display and rounded corners.

Two weeks with s23 plus 512 gb lavender and I have to say the phone is amazing, feels like I have never had a S series before…. Longtime Exynos user 😅

I've had my s23 plus for about a week now I pre-ordered got the 512 GB version. It an absolute upgrade from my previous phone, Samsung Z Flip3 5G 3. The zflip 3 always felt flimsy to me like it would break any moment. The s23+ feels more durable and more solid. The screen on this phone S23 + is much brighter and the battery life is leaps better. I barely have to charge this phone where on the zflip I had to charge multiple times a day. I'm keeping this phone for awhile

I love your video content on your tech channel, Nick!! I would say that Samsung and Qualcomm have upped their game when it comes to software performance with One UI and the SD 8 Gen 2 chipset!! The price is a little bit hefty for those who are on a budget, and don't need to upgrade. But other than that it seems Samsung is heading in the right direction, but they need to work on pricing their phones more competitively if they want to compete with the Pixels or One Pro models. As always, keep up the great work, always enjoy your informative videos!!

I pre ordered the S23+ direct from Samsung. I traded in my iPhone 13 Pro. Apple’s ecosystem is a bit too restrictive IMO. It’s the first phone I’ve ever had with 512gb of storage.

1 thing I’ve notice. When you purchase a Samsung A series phone you get a charger brick, but when you spend extra $ on a S series you don’t. Great video.

This phone looks great, the only thing keeping me from buying it is the $1000 price tag.
