Thank you Blake and Team. These are some of the things I need to see from Yamaha, greater Montage/Modx integration with Cubase since Yamaha and Steinberg are related. Sometimes I feel some of the Midi keyboard manufacturers (you guys know them) are more integrated with Cubase than their Yamaha products. This should not be the case. So I'm looking forward to some more workflow simplifications. Can't have the world's best synth out in the cold. Thanks again.

I use MODX CONNECT with CUBASE and MODX.

Blake - Same question as before as I haven't received any reply nor found an answer elsewhere: Great playing combined with amazing knowledge! Question: I can't find an answer to this via the YamahaSynth forum or anywhere else: I am utilizing Montage Connect to record Montage instruments into Cubase. I'm wanting to also incorporate some VST instruments, utilizing the Montage as a midi controller for the VST instruments, into a song.

What steps are needed to integrate both methods and be able to view and adjust all instruments/channels at the same time (if that's even possible) in Performance Mode on the Montage? Thanks!

one of the best thing to happen to cubase and yamaha is if cubase have some kind of a converter to montage modx...to be able to convert 4 8 bars of a song to a montage performance with drums and all the sounds from montage..if we make a drum pattern with a bass and arpeggio to be converted to a montage thats AWESOME!! regards

How do I "turn on my montage screen"? @5:10 I have Cubase AI 11 as shown here and Connect v1.1.1 but can't work out how to "turn on" the Montage screen mimic.

Man whatever happened to just exporting wave files this is giving me a headache tryna figure all this stuff out but I do love that montage just need some minor updates on it like more exporting options cause this is too difficult and too time consuming

cant get it to work in standalone macbook pro m1 ..it stays offline it doesn't see my modx v2.52.0 i got the latest usb drivers installed 3.1.4..
This sucks big time because my modx works perfect with my DAW

New os 3.5.1? For montage?
I still hope for a firmware ver.4 that will insert something new and that takes advantage of the second SWP70 tone generator. As is well known, Montage has two; Modx has only one and the only real difference is in the polyphony of the FMX (128 vs. 64). In short, one of the two SWP70s is practically unused.

Should I download and install the USB Steinberg Driver or the Modx Connect? Or both? Whats the difference? I run FL Studio on a Windows PC with windows 11. Thanks a lot.

I have been suffering to understand this "MODX Connect" ever since I bought the MODX in 2018. I really want to be able to pick the sounds from within Cubase and not have to touch the MODX at all to get the sounds. I've just started watching this and I hope it answers my problem,

Hey Blake, Thank you for this very informative video. I Use Cubase Pro in my studio with a Yamaha TF5 mixer for my audio interface. I love the setup. I am having problems incorporating my MODX into my studio because it uses the same driver as my mixing board. Therefore I am limited on my MODX because I can not use the many of the features. I also record at 48khz normally but my MODX says 44.1. I am sure I can't be the only guy with this issue. Please point me in the right direction.
