the hum stopped when i plugged the speakers out of different walls and plug them both into the same extension thanks for the help

thank you so much, I watched all day through some video's on how to fix your sound from the indian guys and for me putting all cables seperate from the monitor speakers did it. so just do your stereo speakers in a seperate extension cord then all your other power plugs. thank you you helped me out a lot. I seriously waisted all day (like 6 hours) watching video's how to fix this problem. TY!!!!

Hello. Good and professional video. But the problem seems to be too deep ! Before 2 months I bought a pair of the same monitors as in the start of the video - Presonus Eris 5. And they have the same noise like in the video! I tried a lot of the suggested ways - no change ! I use RSA cables - unbalanced because my interface have not outputs for balanced - but the problem is not here. The problem in my case is somewhere in the box of the desktop PC ! ! ! I tried the same RCA cables, interface, power cables and the monitors in other home and with laptop PC - perfect sound - no any noise! With the RCA cables! I decided to brought only my desktop PC in the same place of the laptop - same power plugs for the PC and the monitors - again the same noise. Motherboard, power box, video card (Nvidia Quadro) ...I don't know. Using one of the monitors as external speaker from my modeling guitar amp - perfect sound even better than the guitar amp speaker- no any noise. I am noticing that moving the mouse or loading a new web page reflects on the noise !

I purchased some Presonus Eris e5 studio Monitors and noticed they have a soft hiss. How do I get rid of that sound?

The sound isn't noticeable when I'm 2 or 3 feet away. I notice it when I have my ear right up against each of the monitors.

I'm using balanced TRS cables, and I have the monitors connected to my audio interface.

Should also make sure you are using stereo cables.
