The motives/design of those particular Tarock cards are under the premise "industriousness&luck" which is also noted on the "Tarock II" card = "Industrie und Glück" (it has nothing to do with "industrial" but is derived from the Latin term "industria" meaning "industriousness/diligence") and the motives are showing all kinds of peoples in the Habsburg Monarchy in their traditional regional outfits either in a "lucky motive"(love motive) or in a "working motive" and was the common deck design in the whole Habsburg Monarchy since the 19th century..(From "Industrie und Glück" there are 5 types of decks with images from 1860 + 6 types of decks with images from 1890 in circulation..the images of all those are basically all the same but the colouring and how they were painted differs)

And by the way there are many different styles to play Tarock for 3 to 8 players depending on what Tarock card game is played...all in all 13 variations are still played today..some are more commonly known others are rare...and where the number of used cards also differs from playing with 78 cards, to 66 cards, to 62 cards, to 54 cards, to 42 cards, to 40 cards depending on what Tarock card game is played....the "Industrie und Glück" card deck has 54 cards so you can play all those variations with 54 cards and below which are the ones with 3 to 4 players...which are 9 out of those 13 Tarock game variations.

Thank you for this! I’m thinking of buying a Piatnick Tarock deck from Amazon. I think it will be like yours. The only thing they show in the description are a couple of the court cards, and they do like the same. I noticed that yours say 1937 on the box. On Amazon, it says 1935. I hope that won’t make a huge difference, because I just love the ones you showed! ♥️ You gave a great description of each of the cards. ♥️

The trump and court cards are so beautiful! It kinda reminds me of a more detailed tarot de marseilles.

This is a very interesting and addictive game, unfortunately I haven't played if for a decade. It needs 4 or more players (the extra players are only spectators) to get the most out of it. Sometimes it occurs that you don't even know, whom are you in alliance with and who is the foe. It depends on your cards and your decisons and a little bit of luck. It resembles of warfare. 2 players league against the other 2 players, but you may feel your cards strong enough to defeat all other 3 players and you may succeeed. On the other hand, having a XXI in hand and shortage in tarock cards has a chance that Skiz (the Joker, as you mentioned), ,catch" your highest tarock, well, its the worst that can happen- maybe all other 3 players are against you? This is a very complex game, hopefully lots gets it known. A known Hungarian author, Mór Jókai, lived during the Monarchy sayed: If you want a happy elderness, learn playing Tarock.
We exclude 7-8-9 cards, so there's 22+20=44 cards in the game. What a pity that I couldn't have found any rules in English for you for this game. It's worth looking for a rulebook I swear.

If you want to turn an ordinary card deck into a tarock/tarok one (tarot was used for games but now it's almost exclusively used for divinaton and it uses 78 cards, so do not confuse tarock/tarok with tarot, they aren't the same), do the folowing :
All red aces, twos, threes and fours, and all black sevens, eights, nines and tens are unaffected as well as all jacks, queens and kings.
All red fives and all black sixes acts as cavaliers of their respective suit (so the 5 of hearts acts as the cavalier of hearts while the 6 of spades acts as the cavalier of spades).
All remaining spades and hearts acts as trumps of their respective rank (so the 2 of spades acts as the 2 of trumps while the 8 of hearts acts as the 8 of trumps, the ace of spades acts as the 1 of trumps).
All remaining clubs and diamonds acts as trumps of their respective rank + 10 (so the 3 of clubs acts as the 13 of trumps while the 9 of diamonds acts as the 19 of trumps, the ace of clubs acts as the 11 of trumps).
Finaly, the black joker acts as the 21 of trumps while the red joker acts as the fool or excuse.
And now, you've got a tarock/tarok card deck from an ordinary card deck.

Oh yeah this game is really fun but I don't understand why the number 4 is written IIII, when it should be IV, I mean cmon really learn Roman numbers but and also what's with points sistem and AlsO did you know that if the Joker, XXI and I the one picks it up and also what's tarot?
And also don't play this game whit just three people in four it's much better. And there are eight cards of every color and oh, yeah nice vid
