Not all locations can provide the volume of water required to support a high GPM pressure washer. A high GPM machine may need a supplemental water tank, and pump to run the machine, and use the local water supply to keep the tank full.

I love how in one of the other videos a bunch of simps for this channel were all claiming "people who do this professionally haul in their own water, they don't use the customers water" and in this video we clearly see his pump setup hooked to their house water, and just setting it all in their grass? Their landscaper should upcharge this guy.

Seriously though, 3 gallons a minute, over the course of let's say an hour long job, would equate to about 120 gallons of water, multiply that out by an 8 hour work day and you're looking at driving a semi with 2 whole water freight containers off the back of it each day.

Disclaimer, I'm aware remote pressure washing jobs exist where there is no easily accessible running water near the job site and people do haul in water for those jobs.

That is very true, I operate a vactor truck, they can put out anywhere from 20 to 60gpm. We have a wand adapter for hydro-excavating and can cut a 2x4.

My set-up is simple and effective. 1000 ltr water tank, petrol pump, Stihl 800-series pressure washer. All fits neatly on to the back of my ute (pick- up truck in the US) and means that I am totally independent of any restrictions the customer has on their water or power usage. Good day.

Higher PSI vs higher GPM depends on use. For a driveway 3000psi is fine and the more water at that pressure the more area you can do at once. If you're trying to strip paint or have a high power precision beam of water lower GMP and higher PSI is better

Learned this in irrigation class. Psi and gpm have an opposing relationship. And when most city water systems and wells range between 30 and 50 gpm, a high psi line will result in less flow.

Modular wands are must starting out. Buying the smaller unit is perfectly fine, with multiple wand tip options. This will help with mistakes made from pressure damage, and touch jobs that normally would require a industrial sized pump.

Pressure washing is all about the cleaning units(CU). 4K PSI / 4 GPM = 16000 CU
3k PSI/ 5GPM= 15000 CU. 🤷. High flow is ideal for rinsing. Low flow ideal for drawing a hotter mix through an injector. For anything that Rotates such as a turbo nozzle, surface cleaner, and a Flex Lance with a rotating nozzle ( or banshee) the PSI is important.

I had a troy built with the exhaust on the same side of the hose. My first job I melted the hose in two.

4000psi tuned down to 3800, with a 5gpm, with a Landa pump. Most power washers use a Honda engine. The most important part of the washer is the pump. I use two different tips. A turbo tip, and a multiple selector tip that has a soup, zero, 25°and a 45°. For the deck I use a Bee 20 inch.
