Businesses and customers need to understand this too. I was a Field Technician last year working in 116 degree heat in Texas on roofs and in attics. People were dropping like flies but the paper pushers kept asking why we were taking so long and the customers would say, "I thought this was only going to take a few hours?". Please be considerate of those working outdoors in the heat and be patient.

I love how the doctor said “when your body is telling you something is wrong you need to listen.” But then you go to a doctor and tell them something is wrong and they don’t listen.

So sad. He wasn’t worried about dying, he was worried about not being able to finish the marathon. He would have never left the house if he had understood that his life was at risk.

I think when he felt tired and fell asleep after his walk his body was definitely telling him something-never excuse what could be happening to your body listen to your instincts I think that’s why he was talking about it because he just thought it was heat related-He seemed like such a sweet guy may he RIP🙏❤️

It’s more common than people think. My 31 yrs young brother died while running a half marathon in Raleigh NC, April 2014. He was one of two who died that day, same thing. Weather only in the high 70s. So very sad for all . RIP Caleb

Another example of how the “I can do anything, no failures allowed” mentality can literally kill you. Fainting after 20 mins was the sign to back down.
