Nigerian Migrants Rescued From Ship's Rudder After 13 Days at Sea | VOA News #shorts

Four Nigerians were rescued from the rudder of a cargo ship by Brazilian Federal Police near the coastal city of Vitória on July 10th in a video released August 3, 2023.
The group traveled more than 5,000 kilometers (around 3,106 miles) to the Brazilian coast, for almost two weeks -- hiding in a very small space with no protection from falling to the sea.
Brazilian Federal Police released video of officers providing water to the group before rescuing them.
The Nigerians were spotted during a crew change on the ship, which had stopped by the coastal city.
Despite being in a “poor state of health,” all four recovered, according to police.
