Patinkin and Bernadette are both astounding 27 years after their original performances.

No one writes the level of intelligent musicals that he does. He changed the game completely. I wish he had another 80 years to dazzle us and make us think and feel. Look, he made a hat where there never was a hat.

His rich baritone voice is so warm and comforting. It’s like a dad hugging you closer to him while reading a story.

A pure performer, no one commands a stage like Patinkin.

That moment when Bernadette comes out and it gets real.
So incredible to see them snap right into character 25 years after it closed on Broadway.

I don't think Sondheim will ever get sufficient praise, and there's a lot of it out there.

A beautiful voice and human being. And from my home town.

No matter how long in between the times when Mandy and Bernadette sing together, one can never get tired of

genuinely getting so emotional this random-ass Wednesday night. there is so much love for Sondheim's work and rightfully so

Bernadette still sounded the same-- she really preserved her voice well!

I love how everyone is shocked to discover that Mandy can sing, while Broadway fans have known this for years. You guys know that he was the original Broadway version of Che from Evita, which came out in 1979, right??

Mr. Patinkin not afraid of the power of his voice… Ms Peters arising, as always and owning the moment

I'll never understand why Streisand didn't let Mandy sing in Yentl. A duet would've been SO powerful. I didn't even know he sang until later.

"Anything you do... let it come from you... then it will be new" I'm stuck on that... damn!

Mandy Patinkin's voice is very unique in that it's very operatic--very classic voice. One of my favorites.

I mean, wow. I am blown away by the depth of this performance....they have only gotten better...and there was just so much love and history in that moment. Just breathtaking.

The absolute brilliance of Stephen Sondheim will never be matched. God bless him and everything he gave us. RIP
