Realme 10 review

The Realme 10 is priced just the same as Realme 9 and the phone is now more powerful owing to the Helio G99 chipset upgrade. Something had to give, though - the ultrawide camera is gone now, and the 108MP sensor for the primary has been swapped for a 50MP one.

From 108MP to 50MP is forgivable as megapixel count isn't everything, but removing the ultrawide camera is a huge bummer. It's really useful in a lot of situations!

I really like the recent trend of removing unnessecary cameras. I'm starting to see much more dual cameras nowadays compared to say 2 years ago when 3-4 was the standard. Usually two of them are macro and depth scensors which serve no real purpose and take up valuable space as well as ruin the look of the device.

This phone is enough to meet most people needs already. It take decent photos and videos and it is strong enough to run even ps2 emulation decently already. Most people would not have much complaints with it. I myself would have gotten it if I haven't bought a phone earlier on and it's design is used on so many other bbk phones a few months ago.

Does this phone allow you to change the default message app? Do you need realme ID to do anything? I hate how my realme phone is locked down like that.

Finally, a few days ago, I got Android 13 on my Realme 10. From my point of view, performance and stability became much better.
