People in the comments not realising you've been as banned as long as everyone else by Asrock, like how. Normies...

the Taichi actually has an accessory for an extra 2 USB 2.0 in the form of an expansion card LMAO

MSI's A-PRO boards, the comfortable, sensible shoes of mobos, that you end up grudgingly buying. While secretly wishing you could buy the fancy sneakers with human blood in them...

USB port Shortage... LOL. You'll go the way of Hardware Unboxed, being blacklisted. Cheers! ^_^

I may be wrong here but I have the feeling that motherboards got 3 times as expensive in the past 3 years without adding much or any additional value for the end consumer.
The Z390 Taichi did cost around $240 and that was in 2018.

Even though i appreciate this video, very good insights on a lot of motherboards, and we all have different needs and value assets differently, i feel AsRock has some things going on the Extreme vs MSI PRO Z690 A, while having less M.2, it has better layout for the PCIe slots, the last PCIe slot on the Extreme is a 4x not a 1x like on the MSI, this would allow to use an Intel 550 T2 and you still have 1x one above that you can easily use a Sound card, while the MSI priorizes more M.2 thus removing the 1x, to me 3 is enough, 4... i prefer to have the 1x there for a dedicated sound card. While you still have a 4k on the 2nd PCIe slot, i prefer for ventilation to use the lowest PCIe slots for other cards, thus for me the Extreme > MSI PRO Z690 A, again not saying its better, simply that for me the design works out better.

Before this video, buildzoid's name was just chillin on Asrock's blacklist. After, it's now in bold letters but still chillin

@19:22: "Don't steal my PCIe lanes". This needs to be a Tshirt.

My old computer (motherboard) died so I had to get a new one. I went to Micro-Center here in Houston. They have a U-Build it area. I told them I have the "Cooler Master" case and wanted an AT motherboard. They suggested the ASRock Z690 with the Intel i7012700K LGA1700 CPU, a 4 gig video card. I added 3 USB-3 cards, each with 4 USB-3 ports. My CPU cooler is a big "Cooler Master".
By buying the motherboard and processor Micro Center gave me a big discount.
I have 16 gig's of RAM and the CPU has 12 core.
I am not a gamer, just wanted to get my computer up and running.
My old Gigabyte P55A-UD4P was working ok until the power supply went out and took the motherboard and CPU with it.

So far the ASRock is working great and should last as long as my old mother board did (12) years.

And do not forget that that the Z690 PG Velocita has an odd PCIe layout, as the bottom two x16 slots are from the CPU (2nd x16 is at 4.0 x4 mode whereas the third x16 is at 3.0 x2 mode.

the single feature i wish EVERY motherboard vendor did was standardize the 2.5Gbs ethernet port.. i get that a lot of people are still on 1Gbs even on their home network (if present) but i get a headache every single time i need to buy a new motherboard and find the correct features i need paired with a 2.5Gbs ethernet port.. seriously. STANDARDIZE IT!

Having use a unify I can say that having the post code on the bottom of the board is handy when you have a top mount AIO

Good to see you're actively trying to repair your relationship with ASRock... Meanwhile I think I need to check out your new Teespring merch :P
