I was there at the Eucharistic congress in Philadelphia and remember this Polish cardinal speaking these words. I was struck by how amazing he was how eloquent he was. Then I wondered why there weren’t more men like him speaking out with boldness. How was I to know that I would be standing in the presence of a saint who one day become pope. I can still remember being there.
