I live in Queensland Australia, this breed is quite prevalent here, in fact my uncle (who was a dairy farmer) had one.I come from a large family of nine kids and my uncle and aunt had seven of their own. When we would visit them at the farm and dinner time came around my uncle Jeff would call us all in, all sixteen kids. Thing was, if we didn't move fast enough he would shout "GIT EM IN ROGER" and Roger the blue heeler would round us up, and if you didn't move fast enough for Roger, you very quickly learned why they're called heelers. I spent a few school holidays at auntie Maud and uncle Jeffs with bruised ankles from Roger nipping us. Please don't misunderstand me though, we all adored Roger and just picture sixteen sobbing kids when he finally died, because that's what happened.

We just got a rescue heeler, as our wonderful heeler, Sierra, passed away from a pituitary gland tumor. Our new one we named Sheila, and we had her DNA tested. She is a mix of 9 different breeds, but looks like a blue and red heeler, both colors, with Australian Shepherd ears. She will enjoy the herding ball as she has boundless energy. She loves to catch frisbees and tennis balls. She's a year plus old and is pretty mouthy when excited. Our shoes and hands feel the pain. She's so loving and cuddly. Hi Louey!

I just got my border coliie/ACD mix another herding ball. His first one was my wifes exercise ball, the second was a basketball. He is maniacal about pushing those things around my property, neither of the first two lasted long, so I got one that's hard plastic.

. Taking it from him (before he has a heart attack) is like trying to steal a basketball from one of the Harlem Globetrotters

I'd love to get my boy one, but the only open place I have for quick and easy off leash access is a fenced marina at night when no one is around ( we keep a boat there), and the ball would probably roll off into the river lol.

My heeler yawns all the time just like Lou I have a ball that throw to him that he trys to herd and he doesn't get tired then we go on a run I'm usually tired before him definitely gonna try that ball thank you

I got one for my Red Heeler for Christmas. He is scared of it! Haha! He is a bit neurotic so now that the holidays are calming down, we are home and going to try to play again with it tomorrow with him. We just need to show him that it isn't an enemy like the hated vacuum cleaner lol

my blue heeler just destroys balls ( playing)about 3 to 4 in like those wiffle balls but the but she just don't seem to be too interested in the herding ball. Love U Guys
