SSTV for Beginners | Slow Scan TV Setup & Operation

This presentation will be on basic Slow-Scan Television (SSTV) operation, by Grant VK5GR from the Amateur Radio Experimenters Group, who will introduce some of the simple software you can use at home to generate, send and receive slow scan TV on HF.

The talk will include a live demo on either 20 or 40m and will also introduce the new AREG SSTV Skimmer receiver now in operation at the club’s remote receive site. SSTV Contesting Japanese style will also get a mention!

First SSTV QSO yesterday using QSSTV and my IC-7300. Hard time getting PTT to work and audio to the transceiver. But I finally got it all working.

apparently you can link MMSSTV with WebSDR using a virtual audio cable, there's very little info about it and i don't know how to set it up
it's funny because i think did it once in 2022 when UVB-76 was being hijacked all day but i completely forgot, different pc as well

Your video is really educating. I installed mmstv on my windows 8.1, 64 bit system but there is a pop up asking for my call sign. My question is if one can use the software without it. thank you.

How can I transmit SSTV from computer to radio? I only know "mikrofon to speaker", I don't understand English, so can someone explain me texting?

The software download websites are all about trojans. No reputable website to download the software.
