Tesla USB-C ports and what you can do with them - charge and play music

The new Tesla Model Y comes with two USB-C ports, a 12v (12 amp) DC auto aux power outlet, and a USB port for Sentry Mode recording.

The Tesla manual says these ports are to:
- Connect and charge USB devices
- Play audio files
- Save videos when using Sentry Mode or Dash cam

Summary: As Tesla says, these charges are for charging any playing music, with no video or photo support, but no doubt could get added later. The MP3 player is quite responsive and works great.

Great video ... yeah my 2021 model Y only let's me load up MP3 music. Just so u know Tesla only allows FAT32 format. No NCST. so make sure your sticks & drives R FAT32. I was told that we could watch MOVIES but only on Y & X model. I'm gonna try mine & my wife's tomorrow & see if it'll play movies from a USB

I have usb c ports but I used special magnetic usb a cables for my phone. I can't find any adapters to charge my usb a off of the tesla usb chargers.

Looks like models after Nov of 21 no longer support USB-C in center console for anything but charging. Bummer.

what disk format were these usb's formatted in? . normally should be fat32 i believe otherwise you would be wasting your time if formatted in some apple format
