I got a kit with transistors and LEDs but no data sheet so this is really useful

I'll bet that anyone that plays with electronics regularly found this great. It's all gibberish to me, I've never handled one of those boards you have there so I have no idea what's going on with it. But it looks handy as shit! :) Guess I need to go back to electronics class!

What about no data sheet. You tested it with the diode tester how do know the current. Ohms law. ? Power supply of 5 v so hard to wrap my head around

I'm newbie to this, sir if you see this comment pls correct me. Based from your video :
1) when you measuring the voltage on the resistor side, is that the remain voltage after dropped by resistor ?
2) when you measuring the voltage on the LED side, is that the remain voltage after forward voltage reduction ?

I'm a beginner and I just watched a video of someone testing led's with the diode tester mode & the led lights up but no continuity. (no voltage reading)
I did the same test and got the same results.
Why is it that you get a voltage reading? Because the area on the breadboard where you placed the led's wasn't live.

Yeah I have a SMD green led light that takes 1.7 voltage so what ohm resistor do I have to get so it doesn’t blow out

I have 2 different meters, when testing leds the meter starts at 1 and stays there even when the light lights up. Some videos say that si correct, it shows its a good led?

I am new to this so can you please help.
I want to light up 5mm white led connected to Arduino 5v pin. So what resistor should I use to connect the led. And if I have more than 1, let's say 5 white leds and I want to light them up with the same 5v pin so what should be the setting and what resistor should I use and how would be they connected.

I don't get how your multimeter is able to measure the voltage drop, unless it's running off a 9v battery?

Hi, my DMM can measure Voltage Drop at a maximum of 1.8V. I can measure Red LEDs only, for the other colors the LED turns on weak, but the DMM show "OL". I wonder, this capability of measuring Voltage Drop above 1.8V, it is important? (ps.: the regular silicon diode drops only 0.7V, when will be necessary measure Voltage Drop above 1.8V?) Thank you.

so for your 20 mA led's u use a 100 ohm resistor ...correct?
