How to perform a blood glucose test on a GlucoRx Q meter

Could you please explain the apple thing?
I’ve watched it 10 times over and it still doesn’t make sense to me.
I think it’s before and after meal?
If so, what if I need to check in the morning or at bedtime?
Is making a selection purely for record checking to know when it was done?
Can I ignore the selection process and just check as I keep a post log?

I still can get the blood 🩸 symbol on my meter. I find this complicated to operate.😢

I can do a test straight after a test and results are always different
