I'm not sure how safe this would be, if it was introduced in the UK.

They're already in Liverpool too - they seem exceptionally slow and large!

Already exists in London...and I hate them... honestly doesn't look that fun to me

They've made it all the way to Belfast.

No problems navigating streets, but they're the size of a transit van with the power of a dozen drunks, so they get in everyone's way.

Also louder and more obnoxious than anything else in the city centre somehow.

They're a common sight in London (City of London and the West End).

As mentioned previously, these things have been around for the past 10 years but have reappeared after covid. They are a pain because they travel at about 10mph if your lucky

I think they are legally pedal cycles. Some people say they hold up traffic; I don’t know, they seem faster than pedestrians and similar in speed to horses (and they are vehicles needless to say).

We have one in brightin, and they are a right menace.
Not only are the pedlwrs rowdy, noisy and downright unsafe, they dont have lights (after darkness) and change lanes without any warning or have any mirrors for checking lanes.

They ride uo pavements, almost knocking me over clearling a nearby street bin.

The quicker we ban these blights, the better the roads will become.

I would have thought they would be all over Liverpool. Certainly loads around London. Mainly young women, so a wine bike.

I've been on one in Belgium for a stag do. They're massive fun, but I felt slightly embarrassed about the amount of traffic we were holding up. 99% of drivers around us were incredibly good natured, but a few were (understandably) pissed off. The peddlers were the ones who controlled the speed and it's hard work to get get it moving at the speed shown in the video.

I’ve seen these in Newcastle and don’t know why they’re allowed tbh. I was stuck at a junction that turned green and we couldn’t move at all because by the time we got a red light one of these things was still cycling very slowly through the junction. They’re just so slow and large that they’re such a hazard, and just unnecessary.

One of these got stopped by the police in Edinburgh a few weeks ago. Didn't hear any outcome.

That kind of bike also appears in some of the tow videos from GTOger. That's in the US. Didn't know they had them in Germany, though.

It would probably be cool to try 😁

One exists in Manchester, you can hire it and ride around the northern quarter. I’ve seen it on many occasions and it’s always been quite a funny spectacle seeing many drunk Mancunians on what I would describe as a “tiki hut on wheels” I would bet there will be one in Liverpool somewhere or coming very soon…

Funnily enough, yesterday In London 3 of these went past me. I also didn't know they had come to the UK.

There's one going round Edinburgh too, I believe.

I’ve seen these in London. I couldn’t work out how it or what the purpose of it was.

They have these in the Netherlands as well. To be honest, the vehicle type is purely for party fun and therefore has no place amidst busy city traffic, especially not on boulevards with high volumes of traffic like in this clip. Its best to keep these on b-roads outside of town.

I am not so sure, people are not falling of in Germany. Germany has a diverse drinking culture in parts similar to the UK and in other parts, like in France and Italy, and in other parts its more like a Russian stereotype.

They have been banned from somewhere in the UK I can’t remember where. But if I’m getting drunk, I couldn’t think of anything worse than doing exercise at the same time.
