Thank you for capturing those moments for the rest of us humans who were not there.
Asked early this year about how can a today's musician fight the "all has been already done before"/ "music cannot be invented anymore" feeling, Kimbra replied: "Re-invention yo!! No one has done it the way YOU do. We all bring a different set of circumstances/perspective to what we create."
And there it is! A song so old and so fresh at the same time.
Not only that. It's also a fast and slow piece. Transcendent and playful. Soulful and cold. Elegantly chaotic, tightly loose, seriously crazy.
Besides, you can tell for sure that Kimbra has lots of fun singing, pushing buttons and dancing on a stage.
And may I mention that she has added a killer guitar and a unique outro to the original studio version. A real bonus.
