I read a book called "The 15 Laws Of Growth" by John C. Maxwell and he said: "Motivation gets you going, but discipline keeps you growing" – since reading this snippet I've never relied solely on "how I feel" when it comes to a task. Now I get up, do the hardest thing in the morning and feel so awesome by lunch time once it's completed. Motivation becomes a byproduct of discipline with time! 🙌

A disciplined person who pushes themselves through the pain of something they don't wanna do will simply never be able to compete with people who are passionate about what they're doing and just keep doing it because they enjoy doing it.

I just like to make the day count towards my goal. 20 minutes or 2 hrs, progress is progress. Hardest thing was to let go of the "perfectionism" I aspired to have everyday lol.
I realized we'll legit have crappy days where we don't wanna get up. But even if we manage to work towards our goal for 5 minutes, it counts. (And more often than not - the 5 minutes stretches to more time so, yay).

As a rule of thumb for me, inspiration is the good one because it can be used to get some momentum going. Motivation just sucks and is extremely unreliable at best.

To summarise it's the Environment and routine set up..once you are consistent with routine you don't have to worry about being disciplined

L'action pour démarrer, la motivation pour continuer... souvent je mets en place ma règle de 5min... quand je n'ai pas envie de faire quelque chose... je me dis fais le que 5min, si ça va pas arrête mais pas avant les 5min et souvent on va plus loin que les 5min. C'est le démarrage qui est dure... le reste suit son court ... merci Matt pour ce short 😉
