Fire destroys beloved Renton grocery store

A fire ripped through Top of the Hill Quality Produce in the Renton Highlands early Saturday.

That's terrible. That was such a great place to shop. I'm glad no one was injured and I hope they and their employees will all be ok

Used to stop in Top of the Hill every week when I lived in Renton. Great meats, ultra-fresh produce, and gourmet foods. The whole lot had good stuff: Chuck's Donut is still awesome, and Sorrento's drive-thru espresso there had such friendly service and good coffee. Such an awful loss to the neighborhood, and I hope they are insured and can rebuild.

I'm devastated to hear about fire at the top of the hill grocery! As a Chef st Renton Technical College we would do field trips to the store with Master Chef Fisher every year...deeply saddened by this news😢🙏🙏🙏 for quick recovery!

Me and my friends used to walk down there every Thursday to say hi to my sister who worked there and got snacks :( it’s so sad for me because there are so many memories at that place for me❤

Interesting. That is the only close organic store for hilltop Renton. Given the current administrations war on organics i would not be surprised if this was not an accident. Definitely not the first either.

Barely ever heard of this store and I’ve lived in Renton Highlands for 6 years. Why is this lady acting like there’s no other grocery stores on NE 4th to shop at? To work at? To buy her apples at? This lady be 5 apples short of a pie.
