Gotta love how the Dad viewed the repairs to their kitchen as simply “inconvenient” & that this didn’t equal having to give up Terry & in turn saved the babies! Most octopuses that you can purchase are actually caught from the wild and then sold to keep as pets. There is very little regulation. So there is a high chance Terrance was already pregnant when she was essentially taken.

Sad Fact: The female octopus lays her eggs and dedicates the remainder of her life to protecting them. She stops eating, slowly starves, and once her offspring are ready to hatch, she dies. This self-sacrifice ensures the eggs are safe from predators, giving the next generation a chance to survive.
