It's all about adoption in volume that defines what's good and what's not.

Potassium silicate "rock" batteries are an interesting battery chemistry. But research is still early on, so it will still take some time to get potassium silicate out of the lab, and into affordable production batteries.

Batteries come and go from the labs and start ups but lithium just keeps going on getting marginally better. One day hopefully sooner than later it will be supplanted with a far cheaper more environmentally friendly option.

Just please god don’t call it a “game changer” with this one or anything else. Most overused term yet invented perhaps only exceed by the dearly departed “awesome!”.
