Hello, Sacred Sibling! I’m Laurie Nelson, creator, intuitive artist, and teacher of Sacred Drums and other SoulWays of Awakening. I am an honored descendant of my blessed Ancestors who apprenticed me in Drum making, in unison with the ancient, old-growth Tree People along the west coast of the United States. I absolutely adore expressing the joy and essence of life through art and creativity, music and sound, and wondrous time spent in the majesty of Nature. Through these Soul Paths, I've been opened to an expanded perception of the incredible Wild Beauty that is here to guide and work with us in creating lives filled with joy and bliss.
As a visionary artist, I am commissioned by clients all over the world to bring into Being hand-crafted Sacred Shamanic Drums through a process I was taught called Co-Birthing, which is drawing in the Spirit of the Drum together with my clients. When we work together, the magic begins by tapping into our intuition through a Nature connection process called HeartWork that was given to me by my Ancestors and the Ancient Ones of the Pacific N.W. RainForests. Once complete with the HeartWork, the Journey for a Vision begins with a shamanic Drum Journey taken on behalf of my client, while listening for Ancestors, Ancient Ones, Guardians, and Guides who communicate the Vision for the Drum's artwork and creation. Allowing this Vision to come through my hands and working with my beloved clients across all distances, the Sacred Drum is Birthed, and an Awakening Celebration is performed, where I once again take a shamanic Drum Journey, honoring the Soul of the Drum as It arises into this new and sacred life. Photo and video are captured during this entire magical adventure to document the beauty.
