Laughter breaks out as Donald Trump jokes about surviving assassination attempts

There has been widespread laughter among the audience at the annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner after Donald Trump made light about surviving the recent assassination attempts on his life.

Donald Trump took to the stage at the annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner in a light-hearted evening for prominent US politicians.

"Tradition holds that I'm supposed to tell a few self-deprecating jokes this evening," Mr Trump said.

"So here it goes ... nope, I've got nothing.

"I guess I just don't see the point of taking shots at myself when other people have been shooting at me for a hell of a long time."

Trump got dressed, he went there and cooked the whole Democratic Party (my party, since I’m a democrat) Letitty James felt it deep and others laughed because it was the truth.

Mr. Trump, you got my vote!

You know why, because even at a moment where my party members were also cracking jokes, you took the time to also let them know that there was nothing funny to laugh about what’s happening in our country.

That’s a bother cooking with style.

He's actually starting to get a Churchillian air of dignity around him. Churchill was also ridiculed before he was revered. Ultimately his unique speech and bulldog style were assets. The President's personality, claimed to be unpresidential, might even become the standard impression an entire generation will have of a good President.
