In this review, I go over NordVPN’s pros and cons, company background, features, customer support, subscription options, and app. I’ll also be performing some tests on it to make sure that it’s fast and secure. All tests are performed on both a Macbook Air and a Windows Vivobook so I can see how the VPN works for different operating systems and devices.

Based in Panama, #NordVPN definitely hits the mark when it comes to company background. Panama is a non-member to international surveillance alliances and they have no mandatory data retention laws themselves, so your data will stay protected. Plus, they won’t track your activity, like when you used the VPN, for how long, the IP addresses or servers you used, the websites you visited or the files you downloaded.

What do you think of the recent hack that Nord took over a year to come out with?

I do not understand the test results. How can the speed values make sense without destination country mentioned? If I pick Indonesia, sitting in Germany, yes, my speed will take a hit. But if hiding your identity is your only goal, you have much faster options than what I see on your test results.

How can they reassign me the same ip address every single time without logging which ip address i used?

You should take this video down in light of the recent security disclosure. Their service was vulnerable for 7 months, and they only disclosed that after a year passed. This is reprehensible.

IDK why Americans seem to get such poor speed with nordvpn, this will be my third year with nordvpn and here in Australia, without vpn I get a speedtest of 97 down, 35 up and a 3ms ping...With a local VPN server I get 94 down, 33 up and a 5ms ping .
