Still miss the old Find A Grave. It was so well organized. Change is good, but the change to Find A Grave was NOT.

Tne new site sucks royally. What is the reason for the change? They do not even show how entered the information.

I have noticed that on the new site clicking between profiles is a hair slower than the old site, but all I care about is the availability of the information.

It's all good! Most people never visit a grave site after the burial anyway. This way they can visit without physically going to the grave site! Good job....

The new Find A Grave site is terrible! I'm having so much trouble navigating. I like the old method of just randomly wandering through the site. The new site doesn't seem to have a "stroll through, etc."

Question: How do you add a sibling? All I see is how to add a parent or spouse. Also, someone added a pic to a memorial I created and manage and it was for a murder victim, and the image she added was not offensive but there is no caption and it is not the individual so I have no clue who it is. Can you make a profile that does not allow photos to be added?

Love your channel! Thank you for explaining the updates. I wonder if you all know if they kept the old way of not being able to add people that have been cremated with no grave yet? They really should if they haven’t...it can help connect more dots for people researching trees.

I understand, you wanted Find A Grave to have an overhaul. It is still awful. Pictures rarely show up and it is much slower. If we can't have the previous site, can some changes be made on this one?

As a new user to F.A.G. but a long time family historian I think the current website (new technology) is just great for what it offers and does. And anyone who is still whining at this point in time about replacing the old (technology) one is just that - a whiner. I'm glad we've moved on. Now, only if they would. Anyway, I wonder if this crowd also still uses an old (technology) cell flip phone instead of an up to date modern (technology) smart phone?? It's the same thing They should be THANKED for the new website because it works and it's been updated. Get over it...

Oh snap! This new page looks very disorganized. Both the fonts and the photos seem smaller and less easy to read. In my opinion they have gone in the wrong direction. It's useless to put tiny thumbnails of the gravestones next to the names of family members as avatars since you can't read them. Even when you click on the photos tab, you don't see full sized photos, just thumbnails.

They should get rid of the tabs. Photos and flowers should appear on the same page as the rest of the memorial, in a second column, at a decent size. Add back the cemetery photo too. Ads should only appear in one column to the right of the other two. They should get rid of the two column format for parents & spouses and siblings & children. They should put the birth and death dates on the same line as the person's name for family members and eliminate the tiny thumbnail.

I like that they put the location information all on one line for the birth death and burial information. It does help that you can use the Save To button to copy the information to the clipboard, but it smashes all the bio information together instead of preserving the line breaks. It would be even better if they formatted the page so that you could simply select the info and ctl-C it like normal.

My mother's headstone came off the site in 2014 saying they didn't allow photography. I'd started the site with my mother about 15 years ago and she was classified as "negro", but no space for her vocation 3rd grade teacher. she and Dad were class of '48/49’ and I was Class of '83.
It was a Jim Crow cemetery, so she had a flat stone, not a nice standing one. The last time I saw it was 1985 when I left DC. It was hard to find because every time we sent, it had sunk down with the grass grown over it. Her sudden death in 1969 when we lived in Maryland's Levittown shocked Dad into a fugue state and vultures just cleaned him out. She was from Kansas and her mother born in Wichita. It mattered, . Dad was just out of the Airforce in 1963, then programmed for DoD basically hacking the LDS website since we were blocked from access.
It mattered

I love Find A Grave. One thing I absolutely hate and wish would not be allowed is entering information not verified. (Burial Place: Unknown.) If burial place is unknown, why is on a site related to burials? Lol. Another related to this is putting the death place in absolutely wrong place which confuses everyone researching that individual. Ex: ancestor died in Ark. But contributor put in VA...the ancestors birthplace and doesn’t change it. Love the site but please be aware of this when using it and linking to ancestry.com etc

I usually go with the flow but when it looks so much like Billion Graves where nothing is on one page, it's not user friendly anymore.
