Homeskoolin’ Bonus “Primitive Gold'

In this video Larry picks up a very crude early first year model ‘52 Les Paul that was just worked on by Andrew Jellison at Strung Out Guitar Repair in Nashville.

The miracle bridge that retrofits on to the ancient original tailpiece that these guitars came with from the factory is designed by Music City Bridge.

Hope you enjoy

[When I get that notification for a new Homeskoolin vid, I drop everything (except my drink) and click on it. Thank you Uncle Larry, hope your healing is fast.]

It’s funny how some of these early electric guitar designs are simultaneously amazing, and also “what were they thinking??”

How wonderful and fair it is to return to a 70-year-old grandfather the opportunity to sing and delight people with his music. Andrew is just a wizard. Tom is a famous wizard)

It's amazing brother, everything you know about the guitar. Not just playing, you're obviously one of the greatest players to ever pick up the guitar. But, things you know that aren't related to playing. You're a wealth of information, and entertainment. Like the guy that left the comment earlier, I've been watched since the second Corona lessons. I'm pretty sure I've seen them all many of them multiple times. You're an institution Tom. Please don't ever stop my brother. We all need these videos.

UNCLE LARRY! I'M SO GLAD I STUMBLED ACROSS YOUR COVID LESSONS SOME THREE YEARS AGO! IF I'M EVER IN NASHVILLE, CAN I BUY YOU A ROLLING ROCK? IT'S THE LEAST I CAN DO! YOU BROUGHT ME BACK TO MY LOVE OF THE GUITAR.

Loving all the love that luthiers and shop folks get here. Having some super-cat gee-tar fixers and cool knowledgeable store folk are two the advantages of being part of this world. A good hang with good folks is good for the soul. Helps you grow as a human. All the best guys.

Got that bridge on my '53. Had some issues because one of the original bushings was a slightly different size. Sent both bushings over to Joshua at Music City Bridge & he had the bridge made to match. Great guys over there!
