Best Things to do Near Reykjavik - Last Day in Iceland!!

For our final day in Iceland we visited some of the best things to do in and near Reykjavik.

We started off the day at the harbor to see some puffins on a quick boat tour. The trip was only an hour but we saw hundreds of cute tiny puffins flying and floating in the water!

To warm up after the cold boat ride we tried some local Icelandic foods including very strong and smelly fermented shark which actually wasn't as awful as we had heard!

We continued our day with an extremely relaxing trip to the Blue Lagoon. This is something that everyone who comes to Iceland should do at least once! It may be pricey but was completely worth it to spend some time in the warm peaceful water. We felt amazing after we left!

Just a few minutes from the Blue Lagoon was our final stop and the thing we had been most excited for the entire trip! After about an hour hike, we got to the the erupting Fagradalsfjall volcano! It was like nothing we thought we would ever get to experience. Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the magnificent power of the earth. We were in such awe that we were nearly speechless witnessing the magnificent power of the earth. It was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity!
