Cars From Japan Just Got EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE!

I went to see a Japanese car yard that specializes in sports cars. Silvia, Skyline, Chaser, and many other iconic Japanese sports Cars. But while filming, the USA added a 25% new tariff on all car imports, including car parts. This means that your favorite car from Japan has just become even more expensive!

None of those missiles are worth over 15k. It’s fair to assume that if prices are listed in USD, they’re price gauging. For reference, in Japan, a new GR86 goes for about the same price at the current conversion rate. I promise you guys, Japanese customers aren’t the target audience.

He said 25% tariff a good move because he’s partnered up with Be Forward. Which exports car and car parts from Japan to us And we are not a country like Singapore and Malaysia, our economy is far better than them. This increase of taxes for individuals is outrageous.

Bruh, at this rate, when I save up enough money to buy a car at its current price, it’ll only be half of its actual cost

Tarrifs will make cars cheaper in japan and for those exporting to countries other than USA like Australia because the demand will change!!! Hell Yeah this is good for Australians

Tariff Update: 25-Year-old cars are exempt from the added 25% on imported cars. Vehicles that are 25 years old at the time of import will be fully exempt from the new increase.

Those prices are wild. Add the 25% tariff too. It’s cheaper to grab something stateside.

Every time he says “it’s actually not that bad” regarding the prices I can’t help to think how much commission he’s getting for every sale…because those prices ARE that bad…

That 25% is bad. That will be the nail in the coffin for a lot of normal people with the dream to import a car from Japan

From what I’ve read the tariff only affects new cars in production, and parts allocated for production of cars in the us. It’s to incentivize new manufacturers to move shop to the US. I don’t agree with a single part of it, as it drops are gdp greatly and the consumer suffers. But it seems like parts and used cars will not be affected

I wonder how the Japanese car market will react to a lessened American demand. Or will US customers just pay the extra fees and continue to buy at the same rates.

Maybe the US Tariffs will benefit those in AUS, and hopefully the price of my dream car (Impreza STI S207) will come down in price 🙏

Love seeing more Verossas popping up on videos! Getting closer to that 25 year mark!

Getting around the tariffs are as simple as going through a third party shipping company from somewhere like the UK or a Caribbean nation.

Any of those cars would sell well in the Texas market. It’s hard to find a beater that isn’t 8-10k that doesn’t have major problems or is a rollback. The Truck dealerships are full of 80k+ trucks that aren’t selling. You can get a built in Texas Toyota for at least 30% less.
It takes at least 5 years but closer to 10 to completely build a new auto manufacturing facility. The new tariffs on steel and aluminum are going to make it harder to build the factories. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Good news for people in Europe.
On another note: you can do whatever you want on your channel but I come here to chill and get away from the news cycle. In other words: I don't want to be reminded about orange face when I watch your videos.

The US aftermarket will now be for mustang and Corvette. People won't be buying Miatas, WRX, BRZ, Supra, Corolla GR, etc. That $34K WRX could now be $44K. Will they sell? Nope.

Don't worry. When the car bubble pops, everyone will be unloading cars super cheap. I mean look at the prices of cars right now. Waaay overpriced

I formerly worked for a automotive manufacturer, and can garentee the tariffs will not affect the people. We previously were american made then sold out to Japan. We literally export our product to two different countries to cut down export costs. It would cost us more to ship directly to one country.Than it would to split the process and have them finish the product, then export it to the other country, as we currently do!Essentially, what i'm saying is exporting product from the u s to another country.A specific country *cough* canada.. is costing us too much money and tariffs will help us with that. Now. Remember what I said prior were owned by Japan. The US and Japanese markets won't hurt each other. Hell, a big chunk of our department, moved back to japan to cut down on costs.. we also import materials from 7 different countries.
