I can't bear to watch this. For those appalled by the rock throwing, they bearly hit him. On a more serious note, I hate seeing any creature die but for those assuming the rock throwing was done as some cruel act that caused the death of this animal, perhaps there is a different explanation. It certainly seems intentional but it most likely was done, not out of cruelty but with the intent to survive that bear's pursuit. What did you expect those people to do if the bear reached the top of the cliff, extend a helping hand. If that bear reached it's intended destination, I assure you, those people would experience a death, far worse than the bear. In the end, all we see here are the bear necessities of survival.

The rock that struck the bear directly in the head was coming from the direction that the bear seemed to be pursuing. We can assume that a person threw the rock at the bear, and that they did that because the bear was pursuing them & they were in danger

A friend of mine once fell down a cliff just the same way. We all thought, he was dead, but he got up, cursed heavily and had only minor injuries! Hope the bear survived, too!
