SMC is basic because when the founder of SMC gave out the information, he gave out only basic information so if someone wanted to make youtube videos and steal what they learned, they will only have basic information so they know the concept but they dont know everything about the concept, when SMC is taught it will make a new trader think you can enter on any order block or fair value gap, but that is not true you have to pick specific ob and fvg, if you fail long enough you would think it is a smart money trap, but the trap was where you got your information.

Bro you hit the nail on the head, but if you think about it, if SMC was working a couple of years ago and the markets caught up with the strategy, then means that if you give out your strategy and everybody starts using it then the same thing is going to happen again.

You don’t understand where the “smart money” profit target is. For example, the smart money “trap” you showed at 9:15 was actually a profitable SMC trade that hit the profit target at the internal liquidity low. It wasn’t a “trap, ” it was a profitable trade. I see you making this mistake all the time - calling a profitable SMC trade a “trap.” That nomenclature is wrong.

This is so true. What I do now, is I buy or sell on my supposed "stop loss" areas. Institutions are doing "stop loss hunting". Whatever your method is just plot where you usually put your stop loss, and buy or sell on those stop loss areas instead. Ofcourse I use other confluences as well.
