Scotland boss Steve Clarke has offered a positive update on Aaron Hickey and Kieran Tierney after the duo faced scares in the Nations League win over Ireland.

Arsenal star Tierney was hauled down in the first half by Troy Parrott as he looked to meet Stuart Armstrong's floated in a corner for Scotland, and was replaced by Celtic full back Greg Taylor.

Brentford defender Hickey was replaced by Anthony Ralston after hobbling off in the second period, but did not require the stretcher that had been brought on the park for the 20-year-old.

Despite the injuries, the Tartan Army roared on the home side at Hampden as they saw off Stephen Kenny's men to top Nations League Group B1 going into the final game with Ukraine thanks to Jack Hendry ’s equaliser just after the break and a late Ryan Christie spot-kick, after John Egan's early strike for the visitors. There was more good news for Scotland following the final whistle.
