PIKMIN - RTX ON

PIKMIN 4?! Sadly not. Just super realistic raytraced horrors. Can Olimar survive in this newly realised hellscape? Do Louie's pores stretch? (no).

Tried making 'realistic' character models for this one, was a very fun and challenging experience to animate. All the models were sculpted and re-topologized. Rendered in Blender EEVEE.

Pikmin is a real-time strategy and puzzle video game series published by Nintendo. The games focus on directing a horde of plant-like creatures called Pikmin in order to collect items by destroying obstacles, avoiding hazards and fighting fauna that are hazardous to both the player character and the Pikmin.

Very clever making the Ranging Bloyster into an ungodly monster, it’s really refreshing seeing one of the few forgettable enemies in a new and disturbing perspective. It takes creative vision to realize that it’s not just Water Wraith that’s terrifying from Olimar’s point of view.
