I love the fact that you're the 2nd overseas youtuber who uses Heinz ketchup when my family just uses the supermarket own brand since our kids used so much it was costing an absolute fortune. We're a bit tight us Yorkshire folks lol

You have a lot of control at Costco. I always come home with many things not on my list. I am always a sucker for "new" items and love trying new snacks, and deli items. Your hauls are so healthy! Not even a bag treats!

The dried mushrooms are great! I especially love them in soups. I used to add them to a chicken, wild rice, and butternut squash soup I made. Really adds depth of flavor.

Just found your channel, wow!! On the topic of dried mushrooms, I dry as many as I can and also power some. The powderd ones you can add to everything. I'm a pescatarian so no meat, but lots of seafood and mushrooms. In fact I'm just finishing my last soup up as I'm watching: fresh chanterelles, ginger, garlic, onions, shredded carrots, leftover airfried tofu, and yondu. No salt or pepper needed.
Subscribed and will keep watching. Take care of yourself and your family.

It's a whole other skill to learn, but BC has some of the best locations for foraging mushrooms and if you like the dried ones it could be a fun family adventure to do your own foraging!

I'm in Alberta and just started foraging and dehydrating mushrooms this year. I have taken a class and have a friend who is an expert. I always double check with him and then cross reference with other resources before eating any mushrooms I find, but there are some easily identifiable ones like oyster mushrooms that are great to start with.

Wow, that’s a big shop! I notice that you use dish washer detergent pods. I assume, being a ranch, that you are on a septic system. A word of caution. The substance that makes the outer shell of the pod is called Poly Vinyl Alcohol and is not septic friendly. We found this out the hard way. It is not biodegradable and there is no way to remove it from your septic or leach field. It coats the soil and components of your system — reducing its efficiency. Laundry detergent sheets are composed of the same substance and are also not septic friendly. Just wanted to pass along this info from one septic owner to another.

Great haul. The dish towels are beautiful. The canning jars have really gone up. Sometimes you need to buy convenience foods. Thanks for sharing with us.

I like having frozen berries available. If you suddenly have company or need an unexpected dessert you can always whip up a pie or crisp with them.

So many wonderful things! During the last seconds the hanging Sunflower Decoration caught my eye and made me smile, as well as remind me to continue to pray for (Adrianna? God always knows who I mean) the dear woman your heart went out to when you showed us her creation!
The shopping videos are encouraging for meal ideas, the unique preferences of different family members you reference makes me smile. I could go on but I've got to rest my back to hopefully sit up and turn my video option on for tonight's Garden Visit with everyone!

You mention new subscriber back info - you should mention how big your family is! Makes the haul and short time frame between them more understandable ❤

I love that you say Pop for soft drinks or 'soda'. I'm in the UK and that's what we callnit here. Never heard anyone say that before outside the UK.

The best cook in southern Alberta told me her secret was to use Apple Cider Vinegar in any recipe that called for white vinegar. I dislike the taste of white vinegar and have found that substituting the apple cider vinegar really does make any recipe taste better. Love seeing your hauls.

Yes the canning jars have doubled this year. It is ridiculous. I restocked last fall to wide mouth on a lot. And price was ok just as normal. So why this year all sizes have doubled in price is a bit odd. Oh I was going to say CAN not wait for the pantry tour this Fall. hugs

Tip for stopping brown sugar from drying out. Put a slice of brown bread in with the sugar you're storing. Keeps it soft for ages. X

I understand the bit hauls! We are 3 hrs from Costco & one hour from town. We just moved so I need to get a garden going next year! This is impressive. I just found you and your amazing pantry!!!
