It might be an adjustment but the 404 is definitely capable of being a daw in a box just gotta learn it like any instrument

don't really get the point of bying modern mpc's. it's just overpriced gear with low-mid quality daw in it. if stuff like 404 has a completely different workflow from using software, mpc is just a laptop without laptop privileges

Sp 404 is meh, effects are only ok. Mpc one has it's advantages but seriously the mk is just not there yet. I own both and after also owning other equipment by roland like the phantom x8, the effects on the mk are kinda novice and the workflow is kinda trash.
