This Patch Changes EVERYTHING!

In today's Overwatch News, I want to focus on the new PTR Patch that brings new Features to the game. The introduction of a Role Select / Looking for Group is a new Social Feature that was introduced alongside the awaited Symmetra Rework. Calling this a Symmetra Buff wouldn't be completely wrong either.

But the Doomfist Buff is not to be neglected! Together with the Horizon Lunar Colony Rework, we are looking at a very exciting patch.

But what I want to focus on primarily are the New Social Features and the impact that they are going to have on the game. Let's discuss!

Happy with this. If they bring in post game review (like Halo's theatre mode) and a decent stats/benchmarks table, so we can see how to improve our own game, Overwatch will become truly great, in my opinion.

When I saw these social features for the first time, I thought "Cliff Terios might just die out of sheer happiness".

I love this patch so much, not because the sym rework, but because these crazy social features! Playing in a group feels like playing in the good old days, no throwers, no dps arguing who is the most useless so someone switches to support, just 2 2 2 every game and everyone tries their best. I met friends through groups, and had the most fun in overwatch since season 4. Can't wait to play comp in a group

Hero select screen is restricted to each role if "enforce roles" is selected in group creator. Which is why they collapsed attack and defence into damage

Why did they fail to add the much-asked-for "How to Play Overwatch" tutorial series by Cliff Terios? Only slightly joking.

The social changes are super exciting! It isn't quite the Role Queue I wanted, but it is a huge step in the right direction. Combined with the complete Symmetra re-work I think it shows the devs ARE listening to community feedback. Suck on it, everyone that keeps saying Overwatch is dying.

This patch has the potential to completely change this game’s broken mentality and make it more consistent
Although I’m still holding my breath until it actually gets released so we can get a clearer picture

What this game really needed was the ability of solo queuers to not end up against stacks. Stacks should end up vs Stacks.

Going back to your previous video you mentioned here. In my 6 stacks I've definitely noticed it now. Even our 6 having higher SR than their 5. It's definitely an undocumented change.

Hoo-fucking-ray! Don't care why it took so long, just glad it's here. The only thing missing now would be a map preference, similar to the way this system might weed out undesirable players, I'd like that for poor maps.

I saw billions of videos on YouTube about the new PTR patch, I downloaded it faster than ever before and I was like: Symmetra is broken, Doomfists problems are still not fixed, Orisas problems are still not fixed, Moira finally has been moved closer to the sate of being balanced and then I saw the new social features.

Hell yeah this game finally becomes a better place for competitive players like me, who are willing to do everything to achieve victory (of course this system is not perfect, but it's only on the PTR yet and I really hope for some changes like downvotes in the categories).

By the way: You sounded very hopefull and happy about the new patch. Feeling wif yea boi.
