I wish I had a teacher like you when I began piano lessons. You have an interesting way that seems applicable to way I want to study the piano. I wish to learn more and hope to link up so I can learn your methods. How to get started would be helpful.

I once heard someone say, "We all rush if we don't try not to"... and he was right. I could never get used to playing to the tick of a metronome; for some reason I just tend to start ignoring it after a couple bars. However, by programming drum patterns in my DAW I found it way easier to keep a steady beat. And it's much more fun.

I studied piano for 15 years and I love your videos and what you are doing for the musical community. Far too many people want to learn to play and traditional methods are just not appropriate for 90% of students who are over 18 years old. I tell a lot of people about your channel and I hope they are able to learn to play and enjoy their favorite songs. Keep up the great work.

#5 has a close parallel in foreign-language learning. Practice with "comprehensible input" (easy material) helps strengthen what has been learned. Puzzling through difficult material (with dictionary and grammar book in hand) does not lead to learning anything you retain.

I love the way you teach. Your tips are great at just practicing around with chords.

This was very helpful. Posture has been my biggest problem.

Thank you very much for sharing! One, usual question -- the sheet looks like anything like it. What software did you use to prepare it? I am referring to the notes names "c", etc. inside actual notes. Thank you in advance for your help.

I appreciate how you reiterate and tie together these important tips in a lot of your videos. It’s helping establish consistent habits and keeping me accountable. Thank you!

Really enjoying your weekly tuition and yes, I do have some of these very bad habits, but not anymore!

I've been playing piano for years and I still struggle sometimes with lifting the pedal at the right time. I think it's one of the most overlooked but also trickiest parts of playing the piano.

Thank you for this video. You have touched on all the problems I seem to have and you have helped a great deal as you explain things so well.

That cookie cutter analogy for the chords is sooo accurate, I wish I heard this when I was first starting out. I was always confused by people who would say to not play with your fingers, like how can I play certain notes without using my fingers? In my experience it’s exactly like you described it.

Hi Kaitlyn I had a program on my PC that gave you paino note when you played and guitar notes above. I've fogoton the name of it it cost £25 it's bit like muscord but it not that one I needed an other program to link together. So worked with midi keyboard .
