I remember when Prince sang party like it is 1999. Now we want to go back to 1999. Life was so much simpler then. Didn't have to worry about being an adult. All I had to worry about was friday nights. Life seemed endless. Music was good. Life was cool. Life by no means sucks but my life is half over now. Music is one common bond we all have as humans and this song does an amazing job of taking us back to a simpler funner time.

After a few listens, I think the production on this cover compared to the original is wayyy better. The Vengaboys gave it a proper 90s treatment with their signature synth. This should’ve been their own track!

I am such a nostalgic person, especially for everything 90s. And sometimes I feel judged for it but having people like Vengaboys still celebrating the 90s makes me feel so happy. Can we all go back to 1999? I may have only been 7 years old, but I remember it perfectly and it was awesome even for my childhood self - so much optimism for the future. And the best trance music ever made (and the height of its commercial popularity) was produced in 1999. I'd say at least 35% of all the music I listen to regularly was made between 1996 and 2000! The fact the Vengaboys made a track like this is AWESOME!
