Thank you for this session which is so needed. I agree with Velshi on the differences between Canada and the US. As an immigrant from the US to Canada I find myself enjoying Canadian politics because I am not frightened by politics. What a thought! I continue put my efforts toward peace in the world. Keep up the good work Ali!

Love Ali's perspective and his professionalism, a quality that goes unrecognised by those who assume that everyone has a "hidden agenda".

Professionalism means being aware of one's own biases and holding them in abeyance whilst gathering information on an emerging event. Professionalism means not engaging in false analogies, not using prejudicial language or images to "slant" a report or influence audience perception.
Professionalism means keeping one's personal life out of the public eye.
Professionalism means admitting when you are wrong about something and correcting it in public asap.

Professionalism is above all about accuracy and context, the two qualities that separate NEWS from PROPAGANDA.

Ali Velshi possesses the qualities of professionalism in abundance. He is an asset to any organisation.

This was really great, thanks for this. I really wish there was more cross-country dialogue like this, like commentary by Americans speaking to us about their own country and Canada and vise versa. It's really valuable to be able to compare with each other and get out of our own bubbles.

The US should adopt Canada's campaign rule: candidates can only campaign during the six weeks before an election.

Ali is struggling with gullible people, who have gone deep down the first convenient rabbit hole they find. I feel his pain.

I became a fan of MSNBC in Nov. 2015 when I came across a live feed on-line. It was the Rachel Maddow show. Then, I realized Ali Velshi was also a host. Still a big fan of both the channel and especially these two. And Canada really needs to heed his warning about disinformation.

Love Ali, voice of reason! The problem I see with the US is that every aspect of their lives is politically influenced. Their cities are party driven, their courts are party driven, they eat, sleep and breathe politics. The media is either right or left and it shouldn’t be, news is about facts and truth. There should be equal opportunity for facts and reality, not to be picked and choose what part you want. The truth should be the same right across the board and then you can trust. But as a consumer I don’t do Twitter, Facebook or anything else other than choosing a selected reliable YouTube videos that I feel is trusted. Thank you Ali for your true honesty.🇨🇦

Age is a factor, but in reality, the biggest factor is, honesty vs. dishonesty.

always wondered why I like Ali? Now I know. Growing up in Buffalo, I learned that Canada usually does it right. With better results in the long run. All of us in the US would be better off and happier if we just surrendered to Canada. We could be proud again, for real reasons.

Ali Velshi is one of my favorite people! I lived in Toronto for years and came back to the states for family. I still miss Canada. MSNBC is lucky to have Ali. I watch his show every weekend.

I love Ali and know him now because of his work on MSNBC. He is among the best ‘real’ journalists in US news today, and a source of pride for Canadians.
