A detail I love in this song is how everyone’s singing in the background is very reminiscent of in WDTAB; however in WDTAB the ending sounds strategic and precise and all fits together smoothly, but in this song all the background singing of everyone sounds messy and all over the place; as if we are hearing what Dolores hears everyday and how she’s really struggling from her “gift”

Complete tangent here, don't mind me. BUT. One of the most interesting takes on this song I've come across, is that Dolores somewhat engineered the fall of Casita and losing the Miracle.

FilmTheory did a much better breakdown than I can here, but considering that she can hear Luisa's eye twitching from several rooms away, it's got to be maddening to be so sensitive to sound and have no escape. The film does have her flinching when fireworks go off, and during the engagement dinner she covers her ears from her own yelling. The only time we see Dolores in a loud situation happily is in the ending song, before they get their powers back where she belts a lyric. From hearing Bruno (Which, traumatic to hear your disowned uncle living in the walls for 10 years) she'd know the casita had cracks, and probably clued into what was going on before Mirabel. It.. kinda makes sense for her to hate the gift and try to push the dominos toward ending the magic.

And it almost feels confirmed, as when Mirabel brings back the miracle and the whole family is on the main door, Dolores' representation looks *sad*. She's the only one frowning on the door.
