Cool review. I signed up for Spider Oak a few years ago when Snowden recommended doing so. It definitely has some moments where I'm not sure exactly what it's trying to do, but overall it's been great. Customer service was highly responsive too when I encountered a problem that was essentially my fault.

I actually found your video while looking for a review of their program Semaphor. So far, I can't find much on this product. I've been screaming for some of my customers to use Slack, but the painful point I have to concede is that it isn't that secure. If SpiderOak could be the "Slack With Privacy" that would be pretty awesome.

I subscribed and I'll checkout a couple other of your reviews. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for the review with no background music and taking your time, however..

1. You focus too much on price. This is not a free service (a trial is not the same as a "free service"), so the comparison is not there.

2. You only skimmed over the "zero-knowledge" claim and needed to focus more on that and what it means, how they achieve this and any security audits from reputable security firms that can verify these claims, because this is the key draw to the service, otherwise they're the same as any other online storage provider.

3. You left the last four digits of your card visible: 4:23

4. Your upload quote should have been in "Megabytes", not "Megabits". Decent (likely) wireless connection speed anyway.

Actualy SpiderOak is without sync since it doesn't work!!! Look it up on internet.
