Season 2 focuses on the disinformation ecosystem constructed by the Christian Nationalist movement, anti-trans lies are laundered through some of the biggest and most respected news rooms in the country, and how this effort creates a world where the existence of trans people is questioned. On this journey we center the voices of trans people, as well as their families, who are victimized by this hostile movement with our award-winning journalist Imara Jones guiding us along the way. Yvette: I mean, Imara, I wish it wasn't true. I wish I weren't here talking about this. I wish it hadn't happened.

Imara: But you know, a part of Christianity is grace. And Grace is not only something that is extended to other people, it is something that we have to extend to ourselves. And so you have to extend that grace to yourself. And believe that that grace is there for you, too.

Yvette: But how can you say that to me when some of the work I've done has damaged you, the people you love?

Imara: Because you get to be human. You know, you get to make mistakes. And it is also very clear to me that you were deeply manipulated. There were people that took advantage of your incredible trauma and incredible trauma of losing almost two dozen people.
