Salmon piccata has definitely become one of our favorite salmon recipes! The salmon is pan seared and served lol with the most flavorful tangy, lemon butter sauce! If your a fan of chicken piccata, you may love this version even more!

Salmon Piccata

Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs salmon fillet, divided into 4 portions
4 tablespoons butter, divided
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons capers, drained

Directions
Season salmon fillets on both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat and sear the salmon. Cook for 4 minutes, flip fillets over and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until cook through. Remove and set aside.
Melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
Add chicken broth, lemon juice and capers.
Season with salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Cook for 3 minutes over medium heat until sauce has slightly thickened.
Return salmon back to the pan along with 3 tablespoons of butter. Once butter has melted remove from heat.

What can I use in place of capers ? They look so unappetizing to me...
