Juan Gonzalez at one time was one of the most feared & imposing hitters in the game. He was a beast that whole season for the Rangers & nearly singlehandidly beat the Yankees in that series all by himself. Unfortunately for Gonzalez, he couldn't pitch; their bullpen cost them that series vs the Yankees. Plus, they couldn't solve Bernie Williams who pretty much matched Gonzalez in the HR department in that series as well.

Juan Gonzalez home run swing is one of the best I've seen plus the look on 1:33 Torre face every time he hits a homerun is priceless

Juan Gone was a beast... I remember he had close to 100 RBI or over 100 RBI by the all-star break...yes, you heard right, by the all-star break.... ended up with 157 .... most players today don't even hit 100 RBI in the whole season...

Typical cheating Yankee fans, catching the ball in fair territory and arguing it was foul... then Torre coming out to do his thing.. Pathetic

He didn't look it, but I wonder whether Gonzalez was on steroids.

No problem. Jeter hits walk off even series at 1-1 and the Yankees take the next two games in Texas to clinch series. The Yankees went 6-0 in both Baltimore and Cleveland in 1996. 11-0 in the Postseason away from home.
