Rocket League Players vs The Rank They Think They Deserve

Rocket League Ranks aren't accurate...right? Well today we take a look at this question and test players on if they do have what it takes to be the rank they "deserve". This is a fun video with my subscribers where we put them up in a 1v1 against a player who has the rank they believe they deserve. Ranking up in Rocket League and improving are very difficult things and sometimes the feeling of improving is hidden behind your rank. When you lose or win, your rank moves with that and sometimes your mechanics and skills are really strong, but you don't seem to rank up. One way to test if you are truly stuck is to go head to head against someone who is in the rank that you desire and see if you have what it takes. This video is a slightly different than the usual Rocket League guides, tips, mechanics, game sense, and "getting better" videos. I hope you guys enjoy this and find some sort of value out of it or get a few laughs. This is my take on the videos that Musty, Mertzy or Sunless might do and it's one of my first where I branch out like this so please enjoy this showmatch type Rocket League video.

Honestly abandoning the rule 1 would've made me lose in 2 ways, rather lose the game by 1 than lose by more and lose the respect of the rocket league community

I feel like 1v1 is my most accurate “rank”, where as duos standard fluctuate a large amount around my actual skill level in those playlists

You should do this but with duos. I want to see like a over confident gold player that blames his teammate and thinks that he could be in C3. Just place him in a game with a C3 teammate and enemies. That would be funny, and you could also do like a post game interview.

I think even if they lose but it's close then they might belong in that rank. I'd love to see the others vote to see who they though the lower ranked player was, and if they're wrong the lower ranked player wins
