Monaco is without a doubt the most glamorous race on the Formula 1 calendar, but how do they build all the temporary infrastructure in such a small country in under 6 weeks?

dont forget, monaco also hosts formula e and the historic monaco race events in the month leading up for F1 being there, so everything has to be completed being setup halfway thru april as all events use the same structures as Formula 1

For someone who watched nearly every Monaco F1 race for over 20 years straight, this gives me a wider perspective on how impressive it really is :) Your video is way more interesting than the actual race, cheers mate

3:43: There is one exception. A bump in the road remains between the Casino and Mirabeau corners, where we see the drivers visibly duking to the right side of the road to avoid.

Logistics is the most impressive part of a Monaco GP

As someone who been an F1 fan for over 30 years (yes, I'm getting on a bit now....), Ive always known that the Monaco GP is a huge logistical nightmare, but your video has provided an insight that I didn't have keep up the good Ive subbed.

If they didn't already race there, and someone suggested a street circuit at Monaco, it would be refused on safety grounds.

2:35: And even could crash into the water in the harbor, which happened to Alberto Ascari in 1955 and Paul Hawkins in 1965. Both were able to get out of their cars and swim to safety.

It's the final corner thats named after Antony Noghes. I'm presuming the stands at that location take the name too, to make it easy to know where they're located

Superb presentation,
I was there in '78, (not a race weekend) No wonder it was hard to appreciate 'where' all the GP locations were,
pretty much unrecognizable as a race track in a normal everyday situation,
How much does this present day operation co$t ! mind boggling.

3:57 Many F1 fans think the race has lost its lustre. This is for a few reasons like the bigger cars but another reason is the neutering of the track since 2000. Amongst other things they've added kerbs, removed trees, taken away the adverse cambers on various corners and the bumps by resurfacing the road, which also removes the painted lines.

As a result the unique challenge of the Monaco track has been diminished to the races detriment.

Well I used to be in transport and logistics and music touring, this is a well practiced event but even so I commend the controllers and all staff that make this happen.
Without a doubt a well oiled machine and has excited me since the days of James Hunt and a race I never miss.
Monaco I salute you 😊🕊

I like how they get all the small boats out of there and put in the big ones for the race.
