Terrella - Aurora Borealis on a bedknob

I replaced the fusor with a bed knob, and I put a neodymium magnet in the bed knob. I then had to get the pressure just right and this is one of the pretty patterns I got.

This was powered with a ZVS. Slayer exciter will be the next experiment. I had this idea thanks to Kristian Birkelaand's experiments.

Just a crazy left field idea. Not even practical really, but I am going to say it anyways.... I wonder what would it look like if inside the sphere there was swirling mercury?... Anyways, I really think your experiments/demonstrations are cool. Keep up the cool work.

Am glad to see you weren't sleeping under it at the time lol
Really nice effect that...seems that some places on the sphere light up often, would that be imperfections in the sphere itself ?

Wow! Is it possible to know something about parameters you used? (e.g. Magnetic field, Vacuum, ...)

is there some more information on what kind of magnets you used?? I presume
you used neodymium magnets, but what kind?? N40?

So the earth is a bedknob, a steel ball or both ? If the ball does not fit the original conditions of the earth, Water, heat core, soil, vacuum, rotation, the experiment is wrong even if you see an aurora.
