By the way - I just wanted to say - and this is a personal opinion: PALMS is by far my favorite band that any of the ISIS members AND Chino Moreno have ever been involved in. No record has moved me like this one since The Cure's mighty 'Disintegration'. This album is so full of atmospheric beauty and solid musicianship, it's almost unreal. I really hope these guys go on to release many more records. This one is an undisputed masterpiece in my eyes.

Im a total Chino homer.. love all his stuff.. but the guys from Isis sound freakin good. From Isis to Palms.. Freakin solid sounds. So glad the all came together on this project. Seem in SF. Cant wait..

I don't know what many of you are talking about. If you heard either Tropics or Patagonia previously and were even remotely a fan, I don't know how you could have a problem with this. This is the best thing I've heard so far from the album and has now got me quite excited.

Harris/Caxide rythm section is easily the best in the business. Plus Aaron Harris recorded and engineered this whole album. I'm pretty fucking psyched to be honest.

I'm really digging this, because Chino is known to use his voice as an instrument rather than just belting out the words, more so than most artists in rock. Plus you cannot deny that NOBODY sounds like Chino, and that he has one of the most unique voices and singing styles in all of modern music. This album I think will be a great example of him using his "instrument" to area's he can't fully explore when singing with deftones. Also, with the ISIS members, I like the sound so far. So we'll see.

an awesome turn for chino's career, sounding all grown up but not as I expected which is good. I remember adrenaline and I understand how people can change as artist's as awesome as adrenaline is I think this may well be my fave album already, I guess young people won't get this as much as us 90's guy's

That's beside the point. I clearly said that without a singer of any sorts it would be meaningless, because it would lack something, since the music was created to have vocals in it. You can't have a ship without a mast mate :)

That was also the biggest problem I had with the last Deftones album. Chino was so high in the mix, so overproduced it made the whole album feel too harsh.

If you don't like "the voice" then you obviously aren't a Deftones fan and should probably look elsewhere for your music. Palms=amazing.
